The Brooklyn Historic Railway Association (BHRA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting rail transit (and rail transit history) in Brooklyn and the New York City area.  Our organization's currently focus is on promoting and improving access to the Atlantic Avenue Tunnel (the world's oldest subway tunnel).  BHRA also has 2 decades of experience working with light rail technology and historic trolleys and we strive to return trolleys to the streets of Brooklyn.   If you enjoy our website and believe in our mission, please consider making a donation. You can make a donation to support the overall efforts of BHRA or you can make a donation to support a specific project (e.g., Atlantic Avenue Tunnel, brooklynrail.net or the Brooklyn Trolley Project). All donations can be made using a credit card, PayPal account or check.  Instructions  on how to make a donation are below.  For assistance in donating or information on donating to specific BHRA projects contact us at (718) 941-3160.   Track built by BHRA in Red Hook, and Trolleys acquired by BHRA BHRA gives tour and holds events in the Atlantic Avenue Tunnel.  We are looking for donations to help us improve lighting and access in the tunnel.  Brooklynrail.net has continued to grow and improve since 2002.  Maintaining a website of this size is time consuming and expensive.  We are looking for donations to help us improve and expand our website.  We are also looking for software donations: GIS software, and Mac software such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Acrobat pro.       ___          Donate Electronically Donations processed by using a secure, encrypted server owned by the PayPal company.  The process is quick and simple and takes only a minute or so.  Please contact Brian  at bkassel@brooklynrail.net if you need technical assistance.
